Since our root beginnings, Applaud – People in Public Service has been, and always will be, focused on recognizing people in the public sector within Ontario. As our organization has grown throughout the years, Applaud has carried on that tradition, continuing to offer recognition services to those in Ontario Public Service, Broader Public Sector and Ontario’s municipalities.
In addition to our free membership for all eligible employees and retirees, Applaud offers public service employers’ access to customizable and ready-to-use recognition packages and additional services at an affordable cost.

Situational Outlook Questionnaire “SOQ”
Looking for something more than plaques and pins? This is where the Situational Outlook Questionnaire (SOQ) comes in. “The SOQ is the only scientifically validated tool that measures and improves workplace climate.” Led by an expert facilitator, you will receive tangible strategies and tactics to assess and enhance your workplace culture and climate.
Support & Appreciation Program
Applaud’s Public Service Support & Appreciation Program is a pilot initiative for 2026–27 designed to strengthen employee wellbeing, connection, and pride across Ontario’s public service. Through collaboration, in‑kind support, and modest event funding, Applaud extends an invitation to public sector employers and employee networks to request Applaud’s partnership, collaboration, and support to deliver meaningful initiatives that recognize public servants and invest in their growth.

Career‑support programming
Wellbeing and team‑building experiences
Workshops, and networking
Mentorship opportunities
