About Travel Club
The Travel Club was originally founded in 2013 by Jeremy Bertrand. Since bringing the club to Applaud after Jeremy's retirement, he has generously continued to share his travels with our members. Now, we're looking to showcase the diverse travel experiences of Applaud members.
What We're Looking For
Presentations can focus on any travel-related topic, including:
What to Expect
Presentations are held virtually over Zoom and should be approximately 30–50 minutes, with time for questions if possible.
You'll need to prepare:
Don't worry if you're new to presenting! Jeremy and Applaud staff (Hannah and Sia) will be there to support you. We'll introduce the session before handing it over to you, and we're happy to assist with screen sharing or advancing your slides if needed.
Timeline
The presentation interest form will remain open until December 2026. Once submissions have been reviewed, we'll contact presenters to confirm a presentation month in 2027 based on your availability and our Travel Club schedule.
A Commitment to Fellow Members
When you agree to present, we're counting on you! If your plans change and you're no longer able to present, please let us know at least two weeks in advance. Last-minute cancellations may result in that month's Travel Club session being cancelled, as it can be difficult to arrange a replacement presenter on short notice.
We can't wait to see where your travels have taken you and to share your experiences with fellow Applaud members!

- A themed trip (cruises, rail journeys, hiking, food and wine, etc.)
- Travel planning advice and practical tips
- Personal itineraries, highlights, and recommendations
- Photos and experiences that inspire others to travel

- Photos and stories from your travels
